Within the folds of Himalayn foothill valleys lie indigenious tribes of North East India and villages unchanged by time. On this magical journey,Experience the most fearless and colourful tribes, Intract with last living headhunters, find their headhunting stories, live with them and understand their unique culture. Witness their Aoleang Monyu festival. In Zero valley meet and photograph Apatani tribe who distinguish themselves with nose plugs,face tatoos and sacrifications. This is their festive season,witness their spectacular festivals, and even participate in it.
- Document the unique culture of Konyak people of the Mon valley. Described as “KONYAK- last
living headhunters”, During dance and major festival called Aoleang Monyu.
- Frame a wide array of subjects,from their unique attire to their bamboo houses decorated with
human and animal skulls.
- Meet and live with Apatani tribals. witness their sacrification culture, walk around local market
and photograph their different food menu.
- Record their tribal songs and participate dance at Galo tribal festival in Aalo valley.
Arrival at Dibrugarh, Assam airport. Transfer to Hotel Little Palace.

After breakfast we will drive to Longwa a tribal village of Mon district,
Nagaland. On the way you can see plantetions of famous Assam tea. Once crossed Sonari,entry point of of Nagaland you will see lots of tribal villages.On the way enjoy ever-changing landscape, tea plantations, rice terraced hills and green mountains. Upon arrivel in Longwa we will be staying in one of Konyak family’s tribal house. Here you will have oportunity to directly intract with them, understand their living style. at night we will join tribal dance. Meal Included – Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
Today you have complete day to learn about Headhunter tribe. Utilize your maximum time to intract with them. enjoy and participate in their Aoleang Monyu festival. Tap your feet on wooden log drumsbeats.Photograph their vibrant colour attire,actions. After lunch we will go to visit kings house, his collection of human and animal skulls, dont be affraid , these are his trophies. listen to his headhunting stories. tonight we are staying in his house. After Breakfast Drive Back to Dibrugarh. If time permits on En route visit Shivsagar. Here we can see !6th century Ahom’s culrure monuments, which was built by Ahom king. The Ahom dynasty (1228–1826) ruled the Ahom Kingdom in present-day Assam for nearly 600 years. The dynasty was established by Sukaphaa, a Shan prince of Mong Mao who came to Assam after crossing the Patkai mountains. The rule of this dynasty ended with the Burmese invasion of Assam and the subsequent annexation by the British East India Company following the Treaty of Yandabo in 1826. As first sunrays hits on ground we will drive to Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh.En route we will cross mighty Bramhaputra river by Boat. As per ancient Hindu Vedas its only male river of India As we reach in Aalo its festive season there Tonight we will stay at Galo tribal
family house. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
After having Breakfast at Galo families house. we will head to Cultural center of Aalo, where Galo Tribe which is one of the major tribe of Arunachal celebrating their 50th Ritual festival. Which is called ‘MOPIN’.Its festival of Rice Powder. Afternoon we will visit another tribe called Minyong who are dwelling near mighty Siang river of Arunachal, in Tibet they call same river Tsangpho. Overnight stay at same Galo tribal house. Morning we will drive to Daporijo, a small town en route to Ziro valley. On the way we can stop over to see some Galo tribe village. The road towars Ziro is through range of
mountains, covered with lush green forest. Every landscape is beautiful than other. At Daporijo town we can see Tagin tribe.Daporijo is a small scenic town where one can see suspension bridges over Subansiri River made from bamboo and cane – a testimony of rich tribal craftsmanship. Night stay at Ligu Tourist village. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
Early morning we will drive to Ziro valley, a home of Apatani Tribe. As sunrays touches to thick vegitated forest a view is very scenic.Capture beautiful mountain range by your
wide angle lense.En route we will visit some small tribe of hills called Miri. Night stay at typical Apatani Bamboo house. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
Today you have complete day in Hong village, which is second largest village in Asia. Apatani bamboo houses are built very unique ways. Photograph Apatani old womens with nose plug and tatooed face. They are very friendly. we will witness their Myoko festival here. The Apatani tribe living in the Ziro Valley are keepers of folklore and legends, and customs so different from ours, it’s a world straight out of one of those series on Nat Geo and Discovery. Bringing together all the Apatani tribes is their most important festival, Myoko, when the tribes renew their relationships, and pay homage to ancestors and nature for its gift of life and means of sustenance. you can witness lots of chantting by Shamen, sacrifice of chicken, pigs and dogs.Also you can see shamen reading chicken lever and egg york . Apatani tribe is animist. They believe in reading of egg york which tells their future,fortune and many more. Early Morning we will drive to Majoli Island, World’s largest river Island.where you will visit small settalment of Mishing tribe. On the again we will cross Bramhaputra river by ferry. Night stay at Mishing Tribal bamboo cottege. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
Today complete day we will go around the Island.Majuli has already been short listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for culture for its ‘satriya’ or Hindu Vaishnavite monastic culture preserved in the ‘satras’ or Hindu monasteries.It is well known and very difficult to find in pure form elsewhere. Its pristine and unpolluted environment is another feature that attracts people. Add to this the tribal culture of the Misings and Deoris and the fantastic bird life and you have more than you can look forward to while on the island. You can enjoy home made rice beer by Mishing tribe. Overnight stay at same Bamboo cottage. (Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)
After Breakfast transfer to Jorhat Airport to catch flight (Breakfast)
Extended tour to Kaziranga National Park to see One Horn Rhino, Tigers and wildlife. Also to Tawang. Located at a height of near about 10,000 ft above sea level, picturesque Tawang is a thinly populated mountainous tract lying on the northwest extremity of Arunachal Pradesh in north east India. It is also the seat of the 400-year-old Tawang monastery, one of the oldest and the largest monasteries in India and the biggest outside of Lhasa.
